The College has built strong linkages with multiple stakeholders, including the Midland Campus Advisory Committee, local employers, local economic development representatives, businesses, faculty and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU), to ensure that we continually respond to the pressing and evolving needs of industry. In general, our focus is on growing the skilled trades through pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and post-secondary programs in support of trades identified by local industry and MTCU as being vital to Ontario's growth and prosperity.

The Marine Engine Mechanical Techniques program and Small Engine Mechanical Techniques program (MEM/SEM) will become an integral component of the new Georgian Skilled Trades Centre In Midland, Ontario. However, our ability to meet the critical needs of the marine industry is dependent on additional resources in order to keep pace with the latest industry standards.
Expanded instructional facilities will result in a larger number of classrooms and labs to increase the volume of training, while providing greater flexibility in education and training programs. Bricks and mortar are only one part of the equation. This expansion is also about changing lives by ensuring that our future workforce has the resources and support to make their dreams a reality. Skilled people have a residual effect on families, communities and society. The need has never been more profound to privide greater opportunity for people who, for any number of reasons, can not leave home in order to complete their education. Adding new certificate courses and apprenticeship opportunities to the already successful curriculum will ensure a broader and unprecedented range of opportunity for tomorrow's skilled workers. Through your support, we will build the Recreational Boating Centre of Excellence in Midland, Ontario.
